Wanda Maxine(Trueblood) Davis was the daughter of Benjamin Gilbert and Lera Rosetta (Bailey) Trueblood.

She married Francis Leon Davis and was the mother of Clifton Davis, Nancy Ellen Davis Hodges, Wandell Davis Gabey, Gary Davis and Dudley Davis.

Wanda M. Davis Wanda M. Davis, 85, of Terre Haute died at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002, in Union Hospital. She was a homemaker. She was born Sept. 27, 1916, in Vigo County to Ben Trueblood and Lera Bailey Trueblood. Her husband, Francis Leon "Red" Davis, died earlier. Survivors include two sons, Gary A. Davis and his wife Coleen of Cincinnati and Dudley L. Davis and his wife Paula of Pimento; two daughters, Nancy Hodges and her husband Allan of Prairie Creek and Wandell Gabey of Terre Haute; two sisters, Janet Easton of Dallas and Doyne Weir of Prairie Creek; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and one stepgreat-great-grandson. She was a member of Prairie Creek Home Extension Club for more than 65 years and Prairie Creek Rebekah Lodge for more than 50 years. She also was a member of Prairie Creek American Legion Post 404 Auxiliary and Mothers of World War II Unit 95. Services are 1 p.m. Saturday in DeBaun Funeral Homes Springhill Chapel. Burial is in Prairie Creek West Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
