Services for W E Walker, 77, of Bangs will be at 10 a.m.Wednesday at Davis-Morris Funeral Home. Burial will be in Bangs Cemetery. Rev. Fate Collier and Rev. Skip Blancett are to offficiate.
Mr. Walker died at 10 p.m. Sunday in his home at Bangs following a brief illness.
Born May 3, 1895 in Mendoza,Texas to Edmond Beauregard and Carrie Fidelia (Rasor) he was a retired carpenter and served in World War 1 in the U. S. Army. He was a member of the First Baptist Church at Bangs and had lived in that area for 24 years. He married Euda Mae Clayton July 30, 1919 in Talpa.
Survivors inclulde his wife; three sons, Johnnie Walker of Dallas, Dudley Walker of Brownwood and W. E. Walker Jr. of Houston; four daughters, Mrs. Wilma Barton of Amarillo, Mrs La Rena Herrington of Houston, Mrs. Frankie McBurnett of Waco, Mrs Virginia Garcia of San Angelo; four sisters, Mrs. Verna Cabe of Happy, Mrs. Anna Walker of San Angelo, Mrs. Edna Caudle of San Angelo; a brother, Jack Walker of Ballinger,two grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
