Hillsborough, NC – Mrs. Betty Finch McCullough, 76, died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2002, at Durham Regional Hospital after a period of declining health. Mrs. McCullough was born in Spartanburg, SC, the daughter of the late Percy Elijah and Marie Willis Finch. She had been a resident of Hillsborough for the past 38 years and was a member of Lawrence Rd. Baptist Church. Mrs. McCullough was preceded in death by her husband, George McCullough and a granddaughter, Allison Forsythe. Mrs. Mccullough is survived by five daughters, Elizabeth Forsythe and husband Dennis of Beaufort, Gayle House and her husband Butch of Hillsborough, Marie Huff and her husband Thomas Huff, Jr. of Oxford, Shirley Piner and her husband Arthur Piner, Jr. of Stem, and Jane Terrell and her husband Dwight of Monroe; a son, Bobby McCullough of Greensboro; a sister, Carey Wilder of Middlesex; ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 22, 2002, at Lawrence Rd. Baptist Church with Rev. Lonnie Bell officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillsborough Town Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. At Clements Funeral Home in Hillsborough and at other times at the home of her daughter, Gayle House, at 351 Ode Turner Rd.
