Philip Edward Coursolle was born December 18, 1915 in Two Harbors, Lake County, Minnesota to Victor Pierre and Mary Jam Coursolle.
In 1920 he was living with his family in Princeton, Mille Lacs County, Minnesota. By 1930 his father had passed away and he was living with his mother and 6 siblings in Minneapolis, Hennepin County, Minnesota.
On June 26, 1937 Philip married Melba Jeanette Johnson in Minneapolis. Philip and Melba were the parents of three children.
Philip enlisted in the U.S. Army during World War II on February 11, 1944 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He attained the rank of Private before he was honorably discharged.
Philip died May 27, 2003 in Minneapolis, where he spent most of his life. He was buried in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
He was survived by his wife Melba, children: Annette, and daughter name unknown, his brother Ernest Coursolle and sister Yvonne Decker. He was predeceased by his parents, sisters Genevieve and Lillian, brothers Victor, Henry and Vincent, and a son, Thomas.
