Russell married 1st, Nov. 4, 1832, Eliza Fogg of Massachusetts, who was born at Cambridge, January 28, 1801, and died June 8, 1843. He married 2d., Dec. 10, 1843, Lucretia Perkins, who d. May 4, 1880. Russell died at Meredith, N. H., Dec. 14, 1897, in his 91st year. He was held in high esteem and affection by the townspeople, and his life was a long and useful one, characterized by uprightness in all things. He resided at Oak Hill Farm in Meredith, after 1839. His death occurred at Medford,Mass., March 29,1872, and his body was taken to Meredith, N. H., for burial.
