Wilma Jean Watson, age 83, of Paris, passed away Monday, February 18, 2013, at
Clarksville Nursing Center. Wilma Jean Watson was born in the Kanawha Community
of Red River Texas, on October 12 1929, the youngest of 6 children to Erastus
and Willie Frances Walker Boulware, both born in Kanawha. Jean's brothers
Ernest, Louie, Dean, and Ervin and a sister Fannie Ellen all preceded her in
death. She is survived by her husband William Edgar Watson of Paris, Texas. They
were married on April 10 1946, in Indianapolis, Indiana where he served in the
Air Force during WWII. Her only child Frances married Bill Christopher of Cedar
Hill, Texas. Her five grandchildren Mary Bittner her husband Chuck of Quitman
Texas, Stephen Sahs of Paris, Texas, Timothy Sahs and wife Sandra of Midlothian
Texas, Michael Christopher stationed at Ft Campbell KY, and William Christopher
II of Cedar Hill, Texas. Her four great grandchildren, Charlie Bittner, Clint
Bittner, Danielle Sahs, and Stewart Herring.
Jean worked in Dallas, Texas as a draftswoman for Southwestern Bell where she
served as a Union Representative until she returned to nursing school and worked
as a RN for McCuistion Hospital in Paris until her retirement. She was an avid
reader, generous, interested in politics, an outstanding cook, detail oriented,
and a great organizer. She was a member of Oak Park United Methodist Church in
Paris until she could no longer travel due to declining health. She especially
enjoyed her nieces and nephews.
Graveside services are set for 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 22, 2013, at Kanawha
