Lucy Spencer Heaton, 65 years of age, died suddenly September 7, at her home in Orderville. She was born May 13, 1864 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her father is Howard Orson Spencer, and her mother is Louisa Lucy Catherine Cross. When 11 years of age she came to Orderville with her parents, who had been called to take charge of the "united order." She worked in the order during its 12 years duration. On March 10, 1882, she married Alvin Franklin Heaton and moved to Moccasin, Arizona. Here three of her children were born. Living here 13 years, she then moved to the Green, a farm between Mt. Carmel and Orderville and lived there 14 years. From there she moved to Orderville where she spent the remainder of her days. She was charitable to all those in poverty, and could see their needs and gave freely of her last cent to them. She was the mother of eight children. Most of all she trusted in God and had faith "to move the mountain,' as it were. She was a grandmother of 17 and greatgrandmother of 1. They all mourn her loss and feel to say that "the world is much better by her having lived in it.
