BIOGRAPHY: Mr. Edwards was born December 23, 1934 in Los Angeles, California. He had been a lifelong resident of Pampa, graduating from Pampa High School. He was a self-employed welder and a member of the First Baptist Church. Bill married Ingrid Bennett on June 7, 1980 in Pampa. She preceded him in death on October 29, 1994.

SURVIVORS: 1 Daughter: Angie Cotton and husband David of Pampa; 1 son: Billy Edwards, Jr., of Hoboken, New Jersey; 4 sisters: Wanda Genter of Burnet, Lahonda Nesbit and husband Lee of Meridian, Tina McGee of Austin, and Barbara Howard and husband Ed of Galveston; 5 grandchildren: Noah Cotton, Audrey Cotton and Sydney Cotton, all of Pampa, Alex Edwards and Chase Edwards, both of Hoboken, New Jersey; 7 nieces and 7 nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents: Ernest William and Carrie Mae Edwards; and a son, Richard Wayne Edwards in 1994.
