Sarah Moody was born on July 23, 1664 in Newbury, Essex County, Massachusett. Her parents were Caleb Moody and Sarah Pierce. She married Hugh March Jr. (son of Hugh March Sr. and Judith Knight) on March 29, 1683 in Newbury. They had at least nine children named Sarah (Mrs. Daniel Chase), Henry, Samuel, Elizabeth (Mrs. Samuel Morse), Hannah (Mrs. Thomas Follansbee), Daniel, Mehetable, Trueman and Joshua. Sarah died on September 10, 1741 in Newbury.

Note: She had descendants buried at the Walpole Village Cemetery in Walpole, Cheshire County, New Hampshire.
