Emily Helen (Florence) Sabo, 78, of Aurora, passed away on Saturday, January 22, 1994 at her home. She was born on September 9, 1915 on the Florence Farm, Florence Rd. in Big Rock, Illinois. She was the daughter of Lena (Wittry) and Edward P. Florence.
Emily was a member of Holy Angels Parish. She graduated from Madonna High School in 1932. She was united in marriage to Julius "Jay" Saba on June 24, 1939 at Sacred Heart Church in Aurora. She worked at the Mental Health Center in Aurora from 1967 to 1977 and was a volunteer at the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart Monastery until the time of her death. Emily was a member of the National Catholic Order of Foresters and was also a member of the Owls Bowling Team and the Merry Marathon Bridge Group .
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents and one brother, Edward John Florence.
Funeral from the Daleiden Lake Street Mortuary on Tuesday, January 25 at 9:30 a.m. to Holy Angels Church at 10 a.m. Fr. Glenn Nelson will officiate 'With interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Visitation at the Daleiden Lake Street Mortuary from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday where the Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made in Emily's name to the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart Monastery in Aurora.
