The funeral for Minnie Wurgler, 83, of rugby was held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at the Pleasant Valley Church of the Brethren near York. Interment was in the church cemetery. She died Aug. 16, 2002 at the home of her son in Rugby.
Pastor Steve Cameron officiated. Edie Wurgler was organsit. Casket bearers were nephews, Vic, Rodney, Jim, Richard and David Wurgler, Dick and Jim Mork, Robert Nelson and John Garland. Honorary bearers were all other relatives and friends. The Anderson Funeral Home of Rugby was in charge of arrangements.

Minnie Nash was born Aug. 22, 1918 near Petersburg to William Centenial and Marie Anderson Nash. She was reared on a farm and received her education in a country school. On June 20, 1939 she married Charles Wurgler in Cando. They farmed and raised registered polled Herefords near York in Twin Lake Township of Benson county. He died Sept. 17, 1986.

She enjoyed gardening, baking, crocheting, embroidering, quilting and doing other crafts.

Survivors include four daughters and sons-in-law, Avis and Bill Follman of Leeds, Eris and Roger Smith of Minot, Lois and Brad Young of Drayton and Lora and Rudy Castaneda of Westminster, Colo.; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Gene and Connie Wurgler of Rugby, Vern Wurgler of York and Dale and Karen Wurgler of Watford City; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and infant daughter; three sisters, Ethel Mork, Emma Wurgler and Rose Garland; two brothers, John and Earl Nash; a granddaughter, Jessica Wurgler; and an infant great-granddaughter.
