Angeline Bensley Ford is the daughter of David Bensley and his third wife, Abigail (Putnam) Hoskins. David Bensley was a Revolutionary War patriot for Rhode Island. At the time he applied for the pension on Feb. 11, 1833, he resided in Fairfield, Herkimer Co., NY, and stated he was 77 years old. On April 8, 1853, Abigail, wife of David Bensley, applied for a widow's pension and stated they had married in Sept. of 1815 but that there was no record of it. She further states David died Nov. 9, 1847. Abigail does not state her maiden name. One of the witnesses signing was Angeline Ford. On March 2, 1855, Abigail applied for a Bounty Land Warrant (BLWT7088-160-55). One page in the pension information states his children were William Bensley and Angeline Ford. All pension information is in W2430.
