Second child of Richard L. and May (Gorst) Gifford. Born in West Warwick, graduate of West Warwick High School, took nurses training, played the violin and later the piano and organ. Married John I. Albro, Jr. in 1936. She was active and past president of the West Greenwich PTA, the Lake Mishnock Fire Company Auxiliary, the West Greenwich Emblem Club. She moved to Florida in 1976 where she was the Musician for Inverness Does Drove #232 for many, many years. Children: Richard John,and his wife Shirley (Rathbun), Doris Elizabeth(Corp - Graska,)and her companion Harry Wolfertz, Priscilla Ann. (Harrington - Paul - Fabbri),and her husband Carmine, William Beattie,and his wife Tanya (Ligon), Donna Melissa (Hunt - Young)and her husband Rex and Barbara Jean who died at birth. 11 grandchildren, several great grandchildren.
