Juanita June Morehouse, 76, a resident of Wenatchee for the past 18 years, died Thursday morning, June 19, 2008, at her home. She was born Juanita June Zodrow on June 5, 1932, to Henry and Mary (Uhling) Zodrow at Ferdinand, ID and when she was a young girl, the family moved to Wenatchee. She received her education there and graduated in 1950. In 1953, she married James Bailey at Wenatchee and they had three daughters and two sons. Juanita was employed by the Washington State Liquor Store in Wenatchee for many years. In 1973, she married Jack Morehouse in Wenatchee and following her retirement, they moved to Cottonwood, ID for 13 years, and in January of this year, she returned to Wenatchee. Juanita was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Wenatchee and the Catholic Church in Cottonwood, ID. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Dana Morrow and Doug Rader of Wenatchee, Shannon and Jerry Neese of Lacey, WA and Dawnell and Mel Wyles of Leavenworth; two sons, Jim Bailey (Laura) of Malaga and Bill Bailey of Cottonwood, ID; three sisters, Mary Ann (Babe) Whitehall of East Wenatchee, Eunice Valdez of Wenatchee and Mardell (Chuck) Reeves of Concord, CA; one brother, Elmer (Lucy) Zodrow of Concord, CA; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters; and one brother. A Graveside Service of Commemoration to Celebrate the Life of Juanita June Morehouse will be conducted at 11:00 o'clock Monday, June 23, 2008, in the Wenatchee City Cemetery, with Father Tom Kuykendall officiating. Ward's Funeral Chapel, Leavenworth, is in charge of the arrangements.
