Edward J. Fox, age 93, passed away November 4, 2017 at home surrounded by his loving family. Ed was born in Jamestown, NY on June 5, 1924 to the late Edward and Tunie (Anderson) Fox. He honorably served his country during WWII in the U.S. Navy. Ed retired from GM after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed raising pigeons, farming, and gardening. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Edward is survived by his loving wife of 71 years Mary (Baker); children Matthias (Judy), Daniel, Larry (Diane), Mary (Mike) Cole, Philip (Samantha), Joseph (Sharon), Celestia (Brad) Brown and Carol (Brian) Mullen; 48 grandchildren; and 56 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Monica (Fox) Cavey; twin sons Russel and Edward Fox; grandson John Cavey; and his 11 siblings.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday November 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Waite and Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St. Medina. Fr. Steve Dohner will officiate. Burial will follow at Granger Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
