Mrs. Bartholomew served in the Navy during WWII. She retired from the housekeeping department of the Marion V.A. Medical Center. She loved traveling, shopping and card games. She was a member of the Holiness House of Prayer.

Survivors include her daughters, Sandra (Philip) Lawrence, Oklahoma City, Okla., Cheryl (Danny) Ashley, Marilyn (Willis II) McGraw, all of Marion, and Deborah Walker, Gas City; brother, Paul Humes, Huntington; 14 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Bartholomew in 1965; parents, Leon and Opal (Bagwell) Humes; daughter, Linda Forman; brother, Jack Humes; and sisters, Beverly Warnock and Eileen Timmons.
