Rosa Murray

Mrs. Rosa Murray, was born in Grason county, Va. Nov. 5, 1872 and died May 5, 1926 being 53 years and 5 months of age. She was the daughter of S.J. and Maggie Foster.

She was married to W.L. Murray June 11, 1892 and to this union nine children were born. They are: Maggie Willis and James and Ernest Murray of Carnegie; Clayton Murray of Mountain View; Alice Bizzell of Gotebo; Winnie Nowlin of Oklahoma City; and Gladys and Tiney Murray of Mountain View. One child died in infancy.

She is also survived by four sisters and two brothers: Mrs. J.P. Smith, Mrs. Alice Harris, John Foster and Walter J. Foster of Carnegie; Mrs. Sarah Dye, Elmwood; and Mrs. Timey Johnson, Abingdon, Va.

She joined the Methodist church in June 1894 in Virginia and afterward joined the Christian church of which she was a devoted member. She was devoted to her family and friends and was loved by all who knew her. She told all the family that she was ready to go and for them to meet her where there will be peace and joy and no more parting.

Funeral services were conducted at the Christian church in Mountain View and interment was made in the Mountain View cemetery.
