"Alexander F. Moore died quite suddenly at his home in this place Wednesday evening at 5:30 o'clock. The deceased had for a good many years suffered from kidney trouble, but a week ago he was attacked with tonsillitis which affected his heart and caused death. Mr. Moore was a native of Mahoning county, having been born in Milton township Jan. 20, 1833, and in consequence was a little more than 70 years of age. His early life was spent on his father's farm. Meantime he secured an excellent education, read law, was admitted to the bar and practiced his profession for more than 40 years. With the exception of four years in the western part of the state his life was passed in this county where he had a wide acquaintance and many friends. In 1860 he was married to Miss Elizabeth Van Dalsen, who, with two sons, Attorney E. H. Moore of Youngstown, and railway postal clerk William Moore of New Waterford, survives him. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock. Interment in the village cemetery."
