Burial will be in Union cemetery. Rosary will be recited Friday night in the Hopson mortuary chapel.

A native of Napa, California, Mrs. Castro lived in this city 71 years, where she was widely known as a member of an old pioneer family.

She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Cage, who first settled in Tehachapi as ranchers, and later moved to Bakersfield. Her father came to Napa in 1849. He was a native of Mississippi and served in the Mexican War.

Mrs. Castro was the wife of the late Leonides (Lee) Castro, pioneer cattleman and contractor, who died years ago. The Castros were married in 1880 in Sacramento. They became the parents of 10 children, four of whom are survivors. Mr. Castro was associated with Miller Lux for many years.

Castro is survived by her sons, Charlie Castro, Daniel Castro, and John Castro, all of Bakersfield; her daughter, Mrs. Lottie Cage, Bakersfield; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, all of Kern county; her sister, Mrs. Alice Tocum, Oakland.
