The funeral for Sibyl R. Renberg of Estacada will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Estacada Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Springwater Cemetery near Estacada.
Mrs. Renberg died of cancer Thursday in the Estacada-area home of her son. She was 72.
She was born July 31, 1918, in Clear Lake, Wis., but moved with her family to the Gales Creek area as a youngster. She graduated from Gresham High School and married Harold A. Hovda in 1936. The couple lived in the Gresham area. Mrs. Renberg worked as a licensed practical nurse for a number of years and had been an active member of Pleasant Home Baptist Church.
After the death of her husband, she married Harvey Haught in 1968, and the couple lived in Tennessee. Mr. Haught died in 1976, and she married Oscar Renberg in 1978. The couple lived in Leavenworth, Wash., for several years. Mr. Renberg died in 1985.
She is survived by her sons, Kenneth Hovda and Garth Hovda, both of Portland, and Jerry Hovda of Estacada; daughters, Gladys Kent of Portland, Margy Michaels of Cumberland, Md., Maxine Rogalski of Beallsville, Ohio, and Leola Postlethwait of Montgomery, Ala.; sisters, Clover Boyer of Port Lucie, Fla., Mary Sergent of Monteagle, Tenn., and Fay Leonard of Eagle, Mich.; brother, Frank Partlow of Palo Alto, Calif.; 33 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests that remembrances be contributions to Mt. Hood Hospice, P.O. Box 835, Sandy 97055.
