Benjamin brought his family to Childress County in 1886. Mae's grandfather, Andrew, was a CSA veteran, who came to Childress County in 1890. The Blairs were a prominent family in Childress County. Pages 118 through 122 are dedicated to the Blair family in the book "The Childress County Story" published in 1970
