Robert Hal Barnett, 83, of Greenville died June 15, 2008, in Irving. He was born Aug. 15, 1924, in Campbell, Son of Coe and Bessie Barnett.

He was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church, a member of the Shriners and a 32nd degree Mason. Mr. Barnett proudly served his country in the miltary during World Warr II in Germany.

He is survived by his wife Juanita Barnett of McKinney; stepsons Charles Sonny Pettit and his wife Barbara of Garland and Robert Pettit and his wife LaVeta of Van Alstyne; a brother, Bill Barnett and wife Kathleen of Campbell; a sister Jonell Malone of Rocksprings, Ga.; grandchildren Kimberly, Cheryl, Robert and Nathan Pettit, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Thursday in the First Baptist Church in Campbell. Interment followed in the Brigham Cemetery in Campbell. Lynch Funeral Home of Greenville was in charge of arrangements.
