[Charles Whittelsey, son of Rev. Samuel and Sarah Chauncey Whittelsey, was an attorney in New Haven, Conn., and Wallingford. He was appointed Surveyor of Lands for that county Oct., 1749. In 1756 and 1757 was deputy at the General Assembly for Wallingford.
