Florence "Mimi" Sparlin Nowling, 88, of Pensacola, passed away on Thursday, January 15, 2009 with her daughter Susan and son-in-law Marcus by her side. Florence and her husband moved to Miami in the 1940's and opened Atlantic Tiling Company. In 1956 they moved to Pensacola and continued in their business until their retirement. Mimi was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Gilfred Elonzo Nowling; her parents; one brother and one sister. Survivors include her children, Susan (Marcus) Thompson and Thomas (Barbara) Nowling; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Gloria Sparlin; stepsons, Dick, Bob, Gerry Nowling and numerous other nieces and nephews.
