Services for Mrs. Marie E. Flatt, 70, of 3140 Indianola Road, will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Hamilton's Funeral Home, with burial in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Flatt died of a heart ailment Wednesday at Mercy Hospital. She was born in the Marquisville area and lived in Polk County all her life. She was a retired service assistant for Northwestern Bell Telephone Co.
Mrs. Flatt was a member of Acme Rebekah Lodge, Eastgate Ordr of Eastern Star, Pioneer-Columbus Club and the Senior Citizens Club.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Janet Ballard of Des Moines and Mrs. Joan Miller of Hayward, Wis.; five sons, James Flatt, Jerry Flatt, Jack Flatt, Jay Flatt and Jeorge Flatt, all of Des Moines; a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Schumann of Des Moines, and three brothers, William Burke and Archie Burke, both of Des Moines, and Robert Burke of Riverside, Calif.
