Funeral Services for Gustave Redies Were Held Today

Funeral services for Gustave Redies, 63, who died early Monday at Mercy hospital, Waverly were held today (Wednesday) at Grace Lutheran Church.

Rev. A. C. Koengeter was in charge of services and burial was in the church cemetery. Casket bearers were Douglas Redies, Marvin Redies, Eugene Redies, Larry Lee, Duane Pichelman and Elston Goodenbour.

Mr. Redies was born May 21, 1902.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Jene Kirchhoff and Mrs. Hollis Niemeyer, both of Tripoli; one son, Wendell, Tripoli; four brothers, Fred, Cedar Rapids, Henry, Waverly, Art, Tripoli and Emil, Waverly; five sisters, Mrs. LaVern Goodenbour, Jesup, Mrs. Harold Nolting, Dunkerton, Mrs. August Willie, Denver, Mrs. Leo Wittenburg, Readlyn and Mrs. Herbert Biesterfelt, Tripoli.

NOTE: Although Social Security Death Index records show Mr. Redies died in April 1966 the obituary would indicate he died on Monday, May 2, 1966.
