Funeral services for Evan P. Chappell, 77, farmer, were to be held today at Oakes and Nichols Funeral Home with burial in the Poke Memorial Gardens.
A native of Maury County, he was the son of John B. Chappell and Eliza McKee Chappell.
He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors are the widow, Mrs Anna Blackburn Chappell, a daughter, Mrs Anna C. Dale, West Lafayette, Indiana:
five sons, Colin P. Chappell, Nashville: Henry C. Chappell, Dallas, Texas; Clyde K. Chappell, Knoxville; William B. Chappell, Cincinnati, Ohio and Clinton Chappell, Carthage, Tennessee;
three sisters, Mrs. Z.A. Collins, Miss Martha and Miss Virginia Chappell all of Nashville; two brothers F.E and T.C. Chappell, Columbia and 11 grandchildren.
