Elk City: Funeral for William R. Peace, 83, who died Thursday in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Leroy Johnson, was Friday in Altus.
Peace was born 7-31-1864 in Athens, Alabama. He & his wife, have made their home here with their daughter & son-in-law since October, 1945.
Survivors are his wife & Mrs. Johnson, daughter Mrs. R. C. Howell of Frederick; 2 sons, Herman W. Peace of Davenport and Bert B. Peace of Frederick; and a sister, Mrs. Carrie Vick of Altus.
