Lucius S. Porter, 87, of 1128 Washington Ave., died Sunday at 6:25 a.m. at Mercy Medical Center. He was born in Waushara County on Jan. 31, 1887, son of Lester and Fannie (Cronkhite) Porter, and was married to Mrs. Ruthmary Geer in Oshkosh on Aug. 22, 1962. Mr. Porter was self-employed as a certified public accountant, then was associated with Robert E. Stauffer & Co., before retiring in 1971. He served with the Army during World War 1, and was a member of Cook-Fuller Post 70 of American Legion, its Last Man's Club and Civil Air Patrol. He attended Algoma Boulevard Methodist Church. Surviving are his widow; one stepdaughter, Mrs. John L. (Barbara) Kasper, Oshkosh; and two grandchildren. Services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Seefeld-Ruminski Church Avenue Chapel, with the Rev. Harold B. Riebe, pastor at Algoma Boulevard Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Wautoma Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the Church Avenue Chapel today from 5-7 p.m. A memorial has been established.
