Wesley Bevelhymer, 49, a former resident of Fremont, Ohio, died here Sunday. He was born Sept. 6, 1929, to Joseph E. and Lena (Purtee) Bevelhymer.

He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1947 to 1969, and retired after 22 years, as Senior Master Sergeant. During the time in the service he served in the Korean conflict as a combat medic and gunner. He also fought in the Vietnam War and was assigned as chief of the communications group personnel division. He is survived by his wife, the former Shirley Gowling of Great Yarmouth, England, and three daughters Beverly, Debra, Kelly, a son, Wesley, and three grandchildren, all of Las Vegas.

Also surviving are his mother Lena Bevelhymer and sisters, Mrs. John (Marie) Nieset, Mrs. Gerald (Doris) Smith, all of Fremont; and a sister, Mrs. Shirley Keeran of Port Clinton. He was preceded in death by his father and three brothers.

He will be buried Thursday, with full military honors, in Las Vegas.
