WILLIAM PREBEL "BILL" McCLOUD SR., 95, of Branchland, W.Va., died Sunday, December 11, at home. He was born September 1, 1910, in Piney, W.Va., a son of the late Jeff and Louisa Thompson McCloud. He was a retired coal miner. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Marie VanHorn McCloud and two sons, Franklin McCloud and Richard McCloud. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, William and Ann McCloud of Melbourne, Fla., and Harold and June McCloud of Branchland; two daughters, Ellen McCloud of Huntington and Carmella McCloud of Branchland and Huntington; one sister, Melvina Sizemore of Peach Creek, W.Va.; a daughter-in-law, Louise McCloud of Logan, W.Va; and brother-in-law, Nolan Van Horn of Eustis, Fla. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2005, at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, with Archie Frazier and Argy Davis officiating. The burial will follow in Dial Cemetery, Branchland. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Robert Davidson, Lonnie Davidson, John Davidson, Glen Queen Wayne Pessimer and Danny Stewart. An expression of appreciation to the Lincoln County Opportunity Company, Hospice of Huntington and the UMWA. The family please requests no food or flowers. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
