Malinda was born to Nicholas and Catherine (Orr) Hedrick in Fleming Co., Kentucky on, April 23,1811. She married Jesse Hiram Boling on Oct. 25,1832.
Malinda was a first cousin to Granville Hedrick- The one who started the the Church Of Christ (Temple Lot)Sometimes known as the Hedricites.
Malinda married Jesse Hiram Boling on Oct.25,1832 probably in Rushville, Indiana. From Indiana they then moved to Jefferson, Louisa, Iowa along with Jesse's brother, Henry Boling.
According to Conrad Lucien Bowling (A grandson) they moved from Iowa to Napoleon, Missouri and lived in a very comfortable log house. Conrad stayed with his grandparent part time and attended school.
Malinda Hedrick Boling died Oct.12, 1890. She shares a headstone with her husband Jesse.
Note* Alot of the information that I have in my family bible comes from Conrad Lucien Bowling (I have alot of neat old stories!)The spelling of the name Boling has been changed many times in my family. James Thomas "Bolling", son Jesse Hiram "Boling", and then Jesse and Malinda's son John Wesley spelled it as, "Bowling" which is the way it is still spelled today in my line of Bowling's! -Araanna
