Departed this life June 18, 2008, Mrs. Martha Gary Townsend of Richmond.
She is survived by two daughters, Ann Caddell and Yolando Gary; one son, Demetris Gary; eleven grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one daughter-in-law, Darnella Gary, one son-in-law, James Caddell; her godmother, Ella Oates and other relatives and friends.
Remains rested at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 21, 2008 at 1P.M. at Chicago Avenue Baptist Church, 2331 Broad Rock Blvd, where remains laid in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr. Marlon Haskell(pastor) officiated. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends assembled at the church 12:45 P.M. Saturday, June 21, 2008.
