Services will be conducted at Centuries Funeral Home Chapel for Melissa May, age 27, of Shreveport, LA. on Thursday, January 23, 2003 at 2 p.m. Officiating will be Rev. Billy Crosby, pastor of Trinity Heights Baptist Church. Interment to follow in Centuries Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Melissa passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2003 as the result of a tragic automobile accident. She was an employee at Kon Tiki Restaurant for over five years. She was a loving daughter, mother, sister and a friend to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Robert D. Cunningham and Albert May.
She is survived by her loving mother, Becky Edwards and friend, Paul Smith of Shreveport, LA.; her father, Karry May of Blytheville, AR.; one daughter, Bailey Roberts; two sisters, Rachel Powell and husband, Ryan and Kathryn May, all of Shreveport, LA.; niece and nephew, Carmen and Spencer Powell; one aunt, Marilyn Davis of Springfield, MO.; three uncles, Rusty and Doyle May of Bossier City, LA., and Larry Cunningham of Shreveport, LA.; maternal grandmother, Yvonne Cunningham of Shreveport, LA. and paternal grandmother, Lela May of Bossier City, LA.
