GALENA, Kan. - Johnnie B. Wells, 73, 710 Mineral St., died at 10:56 a.m. Tuesday at Oak Hill Hospital, Joplin, Mo., after an illness. Mrs. Wells was born Nov. 29, 1915, in Galena, and was a lifetime resident.
She was a cafe owner and operator and retired in 1975. She was a member of Galena Christian Church, Lady Elks and the Spring River Boat and Ski Club. She was a Democratic committee woman for the Fourth Ward in Galena.
She married Archie Lee Wells on June 16, 1946, at Columbus. He died Feb. 3, 1984.
There are no immediate survivors.

Walter Howery, minister, will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Derfelt Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Richard Long, Noah Wells, Dick Trombley, Larry Martin, Chuck Martin and Chuck Kelly.
The family will be at the home.
