Canton, Sept. 19 — Mrs. Hazel Puffer Wilder, 31, wife of Lucian D. Wilder, Chaumont, died Wednesday afternoon in the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown, of complications. She-had been in ill health for over three years and was a patient at the hospital for less than a week.

She was born March 29, 1904, In Canton a daughter of the late Harry. F. and Ethel Risley Puffer.

She attended Rensselaer Palls' High School, graduating in 1921. She also graduated from the Ogdensburg Teachers Training School and later attended Potsdam Normal. For three years she taught near Breeman School.

She was married Oct. 6, 1926 to iucian Wilder in DeKalb. They then lived in Lowville for three years and from there went to Chaumont where they had since made their home.

Sne leaves, besides her husband, her grandfather, J. E. Risley of Lowville; one sister, Mrs. Arthur Blount, Canton, -and two brothers, Clarence and Kenneth Puffer, Canton.

Funeral services will be held from the home of her aunt, Mrs. Marion Puffer on the Old DeKalb road, Saturday at 1 p.m. Rev. Allen G. Bowering will officiate and burial will be in the family lot in Risley Cemetery.
