Norma Jean Greene Lucas, 77, of Hanover, died Tuesday, June 17, 2008, at King's Daughters' Hospital.

She was born Sept. 13, 1930, in Long Ridge, Ky., the daughter of Corwin "C.C." Greene and Anna Mae Smith Greene. She was raised near Owenton, Ky. and graduated from New Liberty High School. She was united in marriage Jan. 2, 1948, to Earl Lucas. She resided for several years in Switzerland County after she was married, moving to Hanover in 1969. She was employed with the Madison Clinic for 25 years and served as the custodian at Hanover Baptist Church for many years. She was a member of Hanover Baptist Church and enjoyed participating in the primetimers, widowers and singles groups. She also enjoyed traveling, collecting spoons and various social clubs.

She was preceded in death by one son, Kenny Lucas, who died in 1993; one infant daughter; her parents; and one brother, Jim Greene.

The funeral was at Hanover Baptist Church. Burial was in Owenton Cemetery in Owenton, Ky.
