Preston Rasheed Edwards, 14, of 107 Walker Hill Road, St. George, died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2003, as results of injuries sustained in an automobile accident near St. George.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, at Good Hope Baptist Church, St. George, with the Rev. Dr. John H. Elliott officiating. Burial will be in Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, in the Hudsontown Community, St. George directed by Ling Funeral Home of St. George.

Preston was born July 11, 1989, in Hollywood, Fla., a son of Nathaniel and Eartha Edwards. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church and was an eighth grader at St. George Middle School.

Surviving are his parents of St. George; a sister, Lanetta Denay Edwards of St. George; two brothers, Jordan Diajon Edwards and Ervin Malik Edwards, both of St. George; his maternal grandparents, Ervin and Nellie Major of Mims, Fla. fraternal grandparents, Herbert and Marie Greene of St. George and Virginia (Charles) Peppers of Brooklyn, N.Y; an adopted grandparent, Ruth McBride of St. George; a beloved aunt, Eula Lee Gratham, a special godmother, Evuette Edwards; and numerous other relatives and friends.
