Mrs. George Aspland died Thursday morning at her home on the Rockton road west of the river after an extended illness.
She was born in Canada 69 years ago and came to the Rockton vicinity with her parents when she was two years old and continued to make her home in this community for the rest of her life. She was married in October 1873, and would have celebrated her golden wedding had she lived until next October. She was a member of the Rockton Baptist church.
She is survived by her husband, and five children, Kittie, Susie and Henry Aspland, Beloit, Mrs Maude Nugent, New York, and Mrs. Hattie Brown, Hinsdale, Ill.
The funeral services were held this afternoon at 2 o'clcok at he Rosman & Kinzer chapel in Beloit, Rev. C.J. Eddy officiating. Burial was made in the Rockton cemetery.
