Michael A. Catlin, 16, of Atwood, died Monday, June 12, 2000 in Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. Services were held at Mackey-Wright Funeral Home, Monticello with burial in Monticello Cemetery. Memorials: Kids Summer Basketball Camp.
Michael was born in Champaign on July 6, 1983, the s/o Gregg and Sarah Valentine Catlin. He was a student at Atwood High School. Surviving are his mother, Sarah Catlin and Ric Scrimager of Atwood; father, Gregg and wife, Renee Catlin of Monticello; grandparents: Morris and Betty Valentine of Monticello; and Robert and Mary Catlin of Cisco.
Michael loved sports, with a special passion for basketball, but most of all he valued and loved his family and friends very much.
