Graveside services for Mrs. Helen Maxwell Green, age 84, will be held Thursday at 11am in Sparta City Cemetery, with Rev. Alan McCoy officiating.
Mrs. Green passed away Sunday, June 15, 2008 in Sparta, Ga. She was a native of Oglethorpe County and had made her home in Hancock County since 1953. She was the daughter of the late Sherrod and Florye Boswell Maxwell and was predeceased by a son, George Green.
Survivors include a daughter, State Rep. Helen (Sistie) Hudson and husband Robert of Sparta; a son, Wallace M. Green and wife Lisa of Peachtree City, Ga.; four grandchildren, Drew Copelan of Eatonton, Robbie Hudson of Sparta, Blake Green and Jamie Green of Peachtree City, Ga.; four great-grandchildren, Hunter Copelan and Parker Copelan of Eatonton, Eli Hudson and Walker Hudson, both of Sparta.
