Mary Bartness obituary reads as follows:
Rites Set Friday For Mrs. Bartness
Funeral services will be held Friday for Mrs. Olaf (Mary) Bartness, 313 Second Avenue N., who died in her home Saturday. Mrs. Bartness was 78.
The service, at 3 p.m., will be conducted by Rev. Orland A. Lee at the Wright Chapel. Mrs. Gunnar Bakken will sing. Mrs. Stanley E. Cowan will serve as organist.
Pallbearers will be Francis Magloughlin, William Buck, Fay Bolin, Perry Solum, Ed Hill, and Norman Thompson. Burial will be made in Hawley Cemetery.
Mrs. Bartness was born in Norway, July 19, 1880. She had resided in Moorhead the past 20 years, previously residing in Hawley and Hitterdal.
Surviving are three sons, Tilman of Dilworth, Clifford of North Hollywood, Calif., and Oliver of Manchester, Wash.; two daughters, Mrs. Jewelll (Alice) Solum of Voltaire, N. D., and Mrs. Palmer (Sophie) Kloster of Minot, N. D.; 14 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Her husband and a daughter preceded her in death.
Mrs. Bartness was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church.
