Nancy V. "Jennie" (Hoyt) Breneman was the wife of Otto C. Breneman.

For a time, Nancy and Otto lived in Mayfield, Kansas, where they raised their daughter, Berniece Breneman Thomas.

Otto was a blacksmith, and had a blacksmith shop in Mayfield, Kansas, where he worked with his father, Constantine "Tom" Breneman, who had served in the Civil War as a blacksmith.

According to the book "Mayfield: Then & Now" (http://www.themayfieldbook.blogspot.com/) also served as mayor in the town of Mayfield.

Nancy "Jennie" gave piano lessons to area children, and when their daughter, Berniece was ready to go to high school, Nancy moved to Wichita with Berniece so she could attend school there.
