Jennie was born Oct. 25, 1921, to Joseph and Rose Tabbone. Mrs. Allen graduated from Galesburg High School, attended Brown's Business College and was a bookkeeper for Flecks Clothing Store. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Francis 'Webb' Allen of Westminster, Colo.; daughter Judy Griffith (son-in-law Jeff) of Erie, Colo.; two grandsons, Dustin (granddaughter-in-law Jessica) of Thornton, Colo., and Chad of Denver, Colo.; a sister, Bertha Tropino of Sun City West, Ariz.; and a brother, Jim Tabbone of Galesburg. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and four brothers.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Watson Funeral Home, with the rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Corpus Christi Church, with burial at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Donations in Mrs. Allen's memory may be made to the American Association for Alzheimer's Research.
