Lee E. Maxwell is the son of Wesley Thomas Maxwell and Mary Adele Moore. He was married to Margaret Susan Gilliam and they had two known children: Gene Alden Maxwell and Robert M. Maxwell.

Lee E. Maxwell

Lee E. Maxwell, 83, Rt. 2, Delphi, died Thursday, August 6, 1981 at 4 p.m. following an apparent heart attack.

Born Feb. 28, 1898 in Carroll County, his parents were Wesley and Mary Moore Maxwell. He married Margaret S. Gilliam Jan. 26, 1921, at the Hickory Grove Church and she survives.

Mr. Maxwell was a retired farmer and a lifetime resident of this area. He was graduated from Delphi High School and Lafayete Business College. He was a member of I.O.O.F. Lodge in Delphi.

Surviving with the wife are two sons, Gene A. of Rt. 1, Battle Ground, and Robert M. of Rt. 1, Delphi, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Four brothers and one grandson preceded him in death.

Funeral services were Monday at Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Ashley officiating. Burial was in Masonic Cemetery.
