CARRIE ELLEN BOUNDS
Funeral services for Carrie Ellen Bounds of Hornersville, were conducted Friday, Nov. 23 at Shields Baptist Church. Burial was in Lulu Cemetery with Howard Funeral Home of Leachville, Arkansas, in charge of the arrangements.
The daughter of the late James and Blanch Pippin, she was born Sept. 8, 1900 in Missouri. She was a member of the New Providence Baptist Church. She was married to Loyla Bounds, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Bounds died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 1990 at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett, at the age of 90.
Survivors include one son, Lloyd Bounds of Waco, Texas; two daughters, Eunice Smith of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Gladys Cole of Hornersville; one brother, Paul Pippin of of Naylor, Missouri; three sisters, Margaret Parks of Doniphan, Missouri, Mary Alderson of Oxly, Missouri, and Opal Kilen of Doniphan, Missouri; 15 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
