Jessie James Simmerman of Crowder, 63, a farmer, died of cancer on Saturday, September 20, 1997, at his home.
Services were on Sunday, September 21, at Crowder Baptist Church at 3:00 p.m. with burial in Crowder Cemetery. Kimbro Funeral Home had charge.
He was an Army veteran and the husband of Lillie Turner Simmerman.
He also leaves two sons, Jessie Simmerman, Jr. of Marks and Barry Simmerman of Crowder; his mother, Mary Alford Simmerman, and two sisters, Viola King and Marie Cox, both of Sardis; two brothers, Curtis Simmerman of Batesville and Evander Simmerman of Sardis, and five grandchildren.
