Mrs. Muriel Allmond Wilkes, age 98, of the Kibbee Community, died Sunday, June 28, 2015 in the Community Hospice House in Vidalia, after an extended illness. She was a native of Montgomery County, and lived in Kibbee all of her life. She worked for Ailey Manufacturing for several years, and retired from Oxford Manufacturing in Vidalia after thirty-one years. She was a member of the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, and attended the Cornerstone Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.A. “Buck” Wilkes; her daughter, Reba Wilkes Warnock; parents, Roney and Lucindy Adams Allmond; sister, Hazel Thigpen; and an infant brother, J.E. Allmond.

Mrs. Wilkes is survived by three grandsons, Rickey Warnock and wife Belinda of Kibbee, Clay Warnock and wife Peggy of Uvalda, and Randall Warnock and wife Jackie of Pelham, Alabama; son-in-law, Emmit Warnock and wife Harvie of Kibbee; three sisters, Lucindy Hightower, Patsy Campbell, and Dorothy Atkins, all of Kibbee; five great-grandchildren, Nolan and wife Jessica, Melanie, James, Sarah, and Reba; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 1st at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with Reverend H.G. Ridgdill officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
