Paralytic Stroke causes death of Gelena Woman
Gelena, Kan July 12. Mrs N.B. Holt 67 years old, died at her home,12th and Mineral Avenue, at 10 o'oclock Saturady Morning. Death was due to a stroke of paralytsis which occurred three weeks ago.
Mrs Holt was born in Marshfield, MO. In 1894 the family came to Galena and after residing here some time, moved to Pineville, MO. They returned four years ago and resided for a time on a farm on Tennessee Prairie. Later they purchased a grocery store at 12th and Mineral Avenue in Gelena and moved here. Mrs Holt was a member of the Christian church.
Surviving are her husband Napolton B. Holt; one son George Holt of Jopin, and five daughters, Mrs Myrtle Carter and Mrs Bert Rakestraw of Gelena; Mrs Harry Chenoweth of Seattle, Wash; Mrs Carles Hawkins, Rocky Comfort, MO; Mrs R.E. Buttram of Garnett, Idaho; one sister Mrs. Mary Robinson, of Oklahoma City, Okla, and nineteen grandchildren.
Furneral services will be held at the residemnce, 12th and Mineral avenue at 2:30 o'clock Sunday afternoon. The Rev M.C. Cook, assisted by Rev E.E. Hollar, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Oak Hill cemetery.
