Mrs. Willie Brogdon, 76, 406 West Meadow, died April 11, 12:15 p.m. at the Springdale Memorial Hospital. A retired saleslady, she was born July 11, 1892 at Colorado City, Texas, the daughter of Henry Clay and Henrietta Johnson Caldwell. She was the widow of Charles Brogdon, a member of the First Baptist Church and Eastern Star.

Survivors include one son, Bennett Brogdon of Springdale; one brother, Rev. John H. Caldwell of Gilmer, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Rubie Greiser and Mrs. Fred Reed Sr. of Springdale and Mrs. Mary Trisler of Fort Smith; one granddaughter, Mrs. Jerry (Sandra) Harner of Fayetteville.

Funeral services were held this morning at 10 o'clock in the First Baptist church with Rev. Burton A. Miley and Rev. Raymond Reed officiating. Music was by Norman Crowder, organist.

Pallbearers were Harold Henson, Gus Sanders, Gus Eidson,Jim Brooks, Charles West and Troy Ryan.

Burial was in the Bluff cemetery under the direction of Sisco Funeral Chapel.

Note: The Woodsmen of the World stone (Caldwell stone) next to the Brogdon stone fell in the ice strom of 2009 and broke both stones
